ABOUT US
Sowing a legacy since 1986.
Farming is about people as much as it is about crops. At Ashwood, we’re proud of the team behind the farm and the community we’re part of. Every season relies not only on hard work in the fields but also on the leadership, knowledge, and care of those who guide it forward.
From the decisions made around sustainability to the connections we foster beyond the farm gate, it’s our people who bring resilience, innovation, and purpose to everything we do.
Grounded in Principles
Our values guide everything we do - in the paddock, in the community, and in the way we look to the future.
More than words on a page, they’re lived in every season and woven through our history, shaping how we care for our land, our people, and the legacy we continue to build.

Meet Scott Brimblecombe
My name is Scott Brimblecombe. I was born in 1970 in Laidley in the Lockyer Valley. In 1974, my family moved from growing vegetables around Forest Hill to St George to establish a flood-irrigated cotton farm.
After finishing school in St George, I studied IT in Toowoomba and worked at the Public Trustee before returning home in 1994 to the family farming business. Starting at the bottom alongside long-serving employees, I learned the practical foundations of farming, from water management and planting through to fertiliser timing and machinery maintenance.
Ongoing learning came through field walks, variety trials, farm tours, cotton conferences, and time spent questioning industry scientists across agronomy, biotechnology, and global markets.
In 2000, I began a succession plan to take over the operation from my parents. The early years were hot, dry, and challenging, reinforcing the importance of efficient water management.
After years of exploring improved flood irrigation methods, Ashwood transitioned to bankless irrigation, a journey completed in 2025. Today, Ashwood is 100% bankless irrigated.

More than a rhythm, it’s our philosophy.
This simple phrase captures the heart of how Ashwood Farms works and why we do what we do. It’s a philosophy shaped by decades on the land: planting with purpose, growing with care, and always seeking to understand and improve. This cycle is what drives us forward and connects everything we do.
Our Community
Community is at the heart of Ashwood Farms. From hosting regular bus tours that invite people into the paddock to supporting local initiatives with tour profits, we believe farming should be open, transparent, and connected.
These experiences give visitors the chance to see cotton production up close, ask questions, and understand the role agriculture plays in everyday life.
Beyond the farm gate, our commitment extends to education and conversation. By sharing knowledge about water use, sustainability, and farming practices, we’re helping to build stronger, more informed communities.
For us, engagement isn’t an afterthought - it’s an essential part of how Ashwood continues to grow with purpose.
