Using water wisely sits at the core of how we operate. Over time, Ashwood has evolved from traditional irrigation methods to advanced systems designed to make every drop count. Semi-automated processes are already in place, with the farm moving towards fully autonomous irrigation driven by sensors that monitor soil and crop needs in real time.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">By constantly trialling and refining these practices, we’re not just improving efficiency - we’re protecting the land for future generations. Our approach has already delivered measurable savings, reducing water use by up to 2.5 megalitres per hectare while maintaining strong yields and healthier crops. For us, innovation in water management isn’t optional - it’s essential.</p><br>

Through ongoing variety trials, we’re identifying crops that are more resilient and efficient, while fertiliser trials are helping us reduce our carbon footprint and protect the health of our soils.</p><br><p class="rteBlock">We’re also committed to transparency around the tough questions - from where the water goes to why sprays are used. By choosing natural sprays wherever possible and rotating in alternative crops like mung beans, we ensure the land remains productive and balanced. For us, environmental responsibility isn’t just about meeting standards - it’s about leaving the land stronger than we found it.</p>
